The Institute for Cultural
Diplomacy (http://www.culturaldiplomacy.org)
would like to highlight three Weeklong Seminars taking place in Berlin
during Spring 2009, as detailed above. Each Seminar will bring together
young leaders interested in the relationship in question for a five-day
program of lectures, workshops, group discussions and cultural excursions
featuring leading figures from the fields of politics, the arts, academia,
media, and business.
The Institute for Cultural
Diplomacy (www.culturaldiplomacy.org) is currently accepting applications
for the Weeklong Seminars outlined above, all of which will take place in
Berlin during Spring 2009.
Who can apply?
The Seminars are open to applications from current students and young professionals with an active interest in the relationship in focus.
What will the Weeklong Seminars involve?
The programs for the Weeklong Seminars will consist of lectures, seminars,
workshops, and cultural activities in and around Berlin. The participants
will meet with leading figures from the political, diplomatic, academic and
civil society spheres to discuss the relationship in question and consider
how it can be supported through organised cultural exchange.
What are the aims of the Weeklong Seminars?
The Seminars aim to inform the participants about the field of Cultural
Diplomacy and its importance today, raise awareness of key issues in the
relationship in focus, create a network between the Seminar participants,
and give the participants creative ideas and support for future initiatives.
What happens after the Seminars?
After
completing the Weeklong Seminars the participants become members of the
respective Forum. They are then supported by the ICD in conducting research,
in organising and developing leadership initiatives, and are invited to join
the ICD Online Forum where they can network with the other Young Leaders
from around the world.

Seminars, including brochures, timetables, and the online application forms,
